Platelet Rich Plasma, abbreviated as PRP, refers to a concentrated form of platelet cells suspended in plasma, which is obtained from the patient's own blood.

Platelets are diminutive blood cells found in circulation, rich in vital growth factors like FGF, PDGF, TGF-ß, EGF, VEGF, and IGF. These growth factors play a pivotal role in stimulating the regeneration of blood vessels, cells, and tissues.

Plasma encompasses a multitude of factors indispensable for cell viability, encompassing nutrients, vitamins, hormones, electrolytes, growth factors, and proteins.

PRP is suitable for:

• Individuals experiencing various forms of hair loss and thinning, regardless of gender.

• Those seeking hair restoration both before and after a hair transplant surgery.

• Women in their childbearing years.

• Patients who have not experienced success with other hair loss treatments.

The process commences by drawing a small amount of blood from the patient's arm, which is subsequently placed into a specially designed PRP tube. This tube is then processed within the PRP machine to prepare and activate the PRP.

After sanitising the target areas, Tiffany will gently administer the PRP into the affected scalp regions using an exceptionally fine needle.

Is it painful?

Given that we utilize the smallest needle size (34 G) at our clinic, most patients describe experiencing very mild discomfort, typically averaging a discomfort level of 2 out of 10.

Please keep in mind that, depending on your specific circumstances, it is advisable to undergo 3 to 6 sessions per year to achieve the best noticeable outcomes. It is recommended to space each treatment approximately 4 to 6 weeks apart.
